Fun with babies: age birth to one year
- Move a brightly colored toy back and forth-slowly-and let your new baby follow it with his eyes.

- Peek-a-boo is a tried and true favorite game for babies. Play it throughout the first year by hiding your face or a toy behind a blanket. Watch how your baby grows to understand that even though she can't see an object, it's still there.

- Give your three-month-old a little target practice. While she lies on her back, hold up a pillow or a toy by her feet and let her try to kick it as she exercises her legs.

- Nurture the musical side of your baby by helping her clap in rhythm with songs you sing or shake a rattle or bang on some pots and pans with a wooden spoon.
