News from the 2003 Playing for Keeps Conference

Nearly 400 educators, scholars, researchers, toy industry leaders, child life specialists, children's museum leaders, and other human service providers joined Playing for Keeps at Yale University on March 14-16, 2003 for The Promise of Play: Cornerstone of Literacy and Learning.

Co-sponsored by Yale University, Learning Curve International, LEGO Systems, Inc., and HIT Entertainment, the three-day event featured an exploration of the research about play and its connection with learning; information about play in practice; the latest trends in the toy industry; and special topics in play.
