Conference Don't miss these special events at the Playing for Keeps conference! The Welcome Reception: A Play Date with Playing for Keeps! Come one, come all to the Playing for Keeps 2004 International Conference welcome reception. Enjoy light refreshments before you head out to dinner on your own at your choice of several local restaurants, take a look at the play products featured by our exhibitors, browse at "Read All about It!", the first ever Playing for Keeps conference bookstore featuring classic and current titles about play, play a game or two, reconnect with old friends, and meet new ones. And you won't want to miss a special appearance by the original and one and only Mr. McFeeley of Mister Rogers' Neighborhood. Join us at this opening Play Date…and maybe you'll be there when mailman Mr. McFeely makes a speedy delivery of a special surprise! "Read All About It!", the first-ever Playing for Keeps conference bookstore will give you a chance to update your personal play library while helping Playing for Keeps. The store will feature classic and current titles on issues related to play, many of them authored by our group of accomplished and reknowned speakers. You'll also find Playing for Keeps tote bags and mugs for sale, which you can take back home and use in your everyday routine to help promote our message about healthy play. A portion of all sales will go to Playing for Keeps to support our efforts to spread the word about the importance of play. |
