 | About the 2004 Playing for Keeps International Conference
Join our coalition of early childhood educators, researchers, toy and children's entertainment industry leaders, teacher educators, childcare providers, human service providers, children's museum professionals, parents and others who care about kids in Washington, D.C. over Columbus Day Weekend 2004 for the fourth international Playing for Keeps conference.
Playing to Learn, Learning to Play: Why Play Matters for Today's Kids will explore the importance of healthy play for children's development, sharing the latest practice innovations, and planning ways to impact policy.This gathering of parents, educators, researchers, toy industry leaders, cultural leaders, and others offers a unique opportunity to learn about what's happening in the world of play and who is doing what to make sure our children have access to the play they need.
Co-Chairs of the conference are Professor Barbara T. Bowman, a founder and past President of the Erikson Institute and Professor Jerome Singer of Yale University.
