Vision and Mission

Our Vision
Playing for Keeps is a non-profit organization that brings together a powerful and effective coalition of parents, toy industry leaders, scholars, educators, cultural leaders, health care and human services providers, and other professionals dedicated to the optimal development of children.

This national coalition promotes the importance of constructive play for children aged birth through middle childhood at home, in educational and care-giving institutions, and in community settings.

Playing for Keeps is the central source nationwide for information about play and its developmental, family-affirming benefits, and the leader of efforts to encourage a more playful childhood for our children.

Our Mission
The mission of Playing for Keeps is to foster a climate of constructive play through public education, collaboration and action. Playing for Keeps promotes the need of all children to learn, develop skills, and have fun through creative, imaginative, and non-violent play.
